The American middle class is the road kill on the government's super highway of failed government bailouts. As tens of thousands of jobs will be lost due to the forced closings of Chrysler dealerships, the ripples will be felt in both the auto sales industry and throughout related industries. To bring this travesty into public awareness, the Waco Tea Party Patriots partnered with Sam Nay Waco Dodge to stage protests addressing the government's forced closings of Chrysler dealerships. Waco Dodge was the victim of Obama's failed [bailout] policy. The once prosperous Dodge Dealership is being strong-armed to permanently close their doors, even though they were a solvent entity.
Tea Party patriot organizer Toby-Marie Walker, emphatically stated that, “This is not American. This is not what our Founding Fathers intended. They are rolling over in their graves. Where does it stop? What industry are they going to consume next. Is your business on their menu?”
One sad irony is that Obama's administration stated that they would save or create jobs, not destroy them. Another irony is that the government is doing this with billions of tax payers' money, but, without their consent.
Waco Dodge General Manager Holly Dunham was concerned that the local economy would greatly suffer because of the administration's decision to prematurely withdraw from the Waco community. “The consumers are the ultimate victims, as they will have to pay more for vehicles due to decreased competition...while the "little guy" is put out of business.” stated Dunham.
Waco Tea Party Patriot Co-founder Jim Wright chimed in saying, “What business are they going to take over next? What business does the long arm of government have sticking their hand into private business, and turning their dreams into nightmares.”
“Our government should be of and by the people, not against the people.” added Toby-Marie Walker, concluding that all Patriots should join us and stand shoulder to shoulder protecting Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
