As I'm sure everyone has read entitlement spending is out of control. Unemployment insurance, food stamps, welfare is at it's highest level ever. Don't get me wrong I'm all for helping people when they are down, unexpected things happen in life and it's good to lend a helping hand. But I draw the line in making it a life long career choice.

How do we get people off the rolls quicker? Democrats say we should let them stay on as long as they want to. Even lets give them more extentions. I'm split on this. I know people that are milking unemployment. On the other hand I know people who are really looking for a job and can't find one. So I came up with a solution. Have entitlements be a payback system. What ever you take you must pay back once you get back on your feet. For instance, if you find a job after being on unemployment for 9 months, you get 1 year to get back on your feet at which point you have to start paying that money back. It is what ever you can afford, say $50 a month will be taken out of your check automaticly. I don't think people will want to stay on collecting checks for to long if they know they have to pay that money back. Plus it would help with the deficit, and help teach people personal responsibility.
