Two recipients of an earlier email took me to task on the Cain issue. I reported that Herman Cain was the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He was not. Cain was a member of the Board of Directors, and then became Chairman of the Board. The Board reports to the President of the Bank. The information comes from The Atlantic, an article entitled Herman Cain: Federal Reserve Chairman, Tea Party Champion.
My apologies to the two ladies who gently reminded me to be more careful in the future. One of those gracious ladies is Elicia Afton, the Nevada State Director of Herman Cain's campaign. The other is Carole Long. Both are very active in the Republican Party of Clark County, and should be thanked for all of the hard work they do.
Michele Bachmann has been less than forthcoming in her quest for the Presidency. She boasts of raising her five daughters, and 23 foster children. Raising five children and retaining some sanity is laudable. The 23 foster children may be a different story. During a 7 or 8 year period during the 1990's Mrs. Bachmann and her husband took in 23 foster children.
The foster child program may have its roots in good intentions, but so does the road to perdition. The program pays people to take children of various ages into their homes, and give them some direction. But one does not raise a child in 7 or 8 years. It has been tried and it doesn't work. We can see the result in the Juvenile Justice system. The revolving door of State run child rearing works about as well as the revolving door of the justice haha system.
But the act of taking in 23 foster children does show some caring and concern for the children. I for one, think that is a good thing. Don't put a dishonest spin on it. That spin takes away from the generosity of the act. If it was a generous act, and not an act to increase household income. She voted against the bailouts, but so did others. I do not think that Bachmann would make a good president, but she would be better than the buffoon that allegedly won the last election.
Rick Perry has been a bit deceptive during this campaign.
Does Perry have a Pharmacists license? It would seem that if one is to push drugs, one should have a Pharmacist's license.
Perry brags about the jobs he created as Governor of Texas. He actually didn't create any jobs, the private sector created the jobs. And 81% of the new jobs created went to immigrants, both legal and illegal, according to an article in The Center for Immigration Studies. While the population growth of Texas of Native-born Americans was 69%, only 19% of the jobs went to the Native-born Americans. I sometimes wonder if Perry is running for President of Mexico, or the United States of America.
The number one spot in the Republican Race for nomination keeps changing from one to the other, while Ron Paul's support is steadily growing. His message has been the same since he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1976. Ron Paul champions freedom and liberty. Who doesn't like that? Except those who would enslave us. Ron Paul advocates sound money. Who could possibly disagree with sound money? Except perhaps those who print it and their puppets. Ron Paul wants peaceful relations with our neighbors around the world. Who doesn't want peace, except the former Senator from Pennsylvania?
There is a cancer that is eating away at our once great Republic. It is called the Federal Reserve Bank. It must be cut out and placed in the incinerator as quickly as possible. This hateful growth has stunted the growth of our economy, just as cigarettes stunts the growth of the children who use them. A cancerous growth must be removed as soon as its found. Chemotherapy, radiation, and the scalpel all should be put to this cancer and remove it forthwith.
Is there a doctor in the house? A doctor that can cut out this cancer and cure our nation of its ills? A doctor who has the courage to perform this operation?
Yes! Yes there is! He is shouting that he can perform the operation, but he'll need help. Are we willing to offer him the help? He has been warning us for more than thirty years of this cancer, and we have turned deaf ears to his cries of warning. Indeed, there are some who say this cancer is needed for a few more years. Yep. There are those among us who consider this cancer a good thing. The only beneficial cancer in the history of man, except those that make the American Cancer Society rich.
Yes, indeed, we need to hire this surgeon as soon as possible. Perhaps you've heard of him. His name is Ron Paul M.D. He is a member of the House of Representatives, one of the Houses of The Congress of the United States of America.
I just received a copy of the New American Magazine containing the GOP Candidates Credentials. For a more thorough, complete and less biased review go to www.TheNewAmerican.com
